Not sure what size he was on or what he's been riding lately but was on them back when UAE was on Vittorias, pretty sure he used Corsa Controls for the Ronde a few years ago as well. I think he's on Contis now.

Look interesting, would be nice to know if they are true to size.

The way I see it, life is too short not to ride the best quality tire you can find!

I know there are many fans of the Vittoria Corsa Pros here. I think AngryScientist has a Vittoria tattoo. Yes, they are very smooth and roll exquisitely. But I’ve had two of them that have lasted less than 50 miles. One shot a a very impressive sealant geyser that was borderline pornographic. So…not these.

Conversely, my experience with the Panaracer Gravel King Slicks is that they’re pretty sluggish (at least in the 32c flavor).

Any other options out there? Thanks!
If durability is key try the CORSA N.EXT tire.

Ok many will disagree but here are a few tires that I really like in this range — panaracer agilest (current favorites), Rene herse stampede pass, Victoria Corsa (I do agree they are overpriced, not too durable). The catch is I don’t run any of these tubeless especially in sizes 28-32mm because with lower air pressure (60-80psi) and modern sidewalls I have rarely flatted on any of these.

An overlooked tire for the price that rolls great, is durable, and does actually set up tubeless easily (which I did run when I lived in Tucson) is the specialized roubaix in 30/32. I’m putting these back on a commuter bike for winter but with tubes.

The corsa next have not been particularly durable for me. I am light and used to get maybe 6-8k out of clinchers (Michelin pro4, conti cp4000 etc). I get 1500-2500 out of rear tires on next. Maybe I need to step up to 30 or 32 but on 28 that's what I get. Probably better than standard corsa but I am curious about Pirelli or conti.
Also, I've had the Roubaix for a few years. They don't feel fast but I was running them with tubes. Very robust though.

Slicing? What did the slicing? I've never heard of a tire slicing itself. Are you riding Enve carbon rims?

Not sure why you're being facetious, but if they're working for you, I hope they continue doing so 👍

I’m another that uses these.
I have a 32mm set on my Ti bike, and same tire in 28mm on my Sachs, love them.
I also have a set of Shwalbe Pro One TT in size 28mm on another bike that have been very good as well.
All tubeless and tanwall

Any chance you have a width measurement on those 32s (as well as inner width of the wheel)? I really wish they made them in 30mm, I think 32s might be a bit too big. The 28s are actually a little undersized on my setup which is why I am asking

I'm not being facetious. It's a legitimate question. Where was the tire sliced? What did the slicing?

My comment about ENVE rims is legitimate also. ENVE had a problem a few years ago where ENVE wasn't doing proper quality control on their rims and the bead hooks had a sharp edge that would slice tires at the bead and make them catastrophically fail. ENVE blamed the tire manufacturers for not making tougher tires; the tire manufacturers blamed ENVE for not making better rims. It was a bit of a kerfuffle in the industry, a rare open spat between companies. ENVE then started to push hookless rims. If you have a set of these rims you should be aware of the danger because the problem is not limited to Vittoria tires.

I'd imagine rocks and road debris. Tons of quarries in the area with dump trucks dropping their overfilled loads all over. I don't roll on Enves.
