Have one on order for fly fishing at the access points in Montana. Should be a good friend. |

Wow, I had the Trail 90 in 1970, had a blast on it as a 16 yo. I would ride it all day, sticking to smallest roads, of course, because it cruised at only about 40-45. Around 1980, I graduated to a big bike, a CB125S.

They are one of the original heated clothing companies. They designed and licensed their heat controller to most of the major brands. I have their 90 watt jacket and gloves that plug into the jacket. I'm using their wireless heat controller mounted to my handlebar. It makes it easy to adjust temp as you ride without fumbling around with a controller inside a jacket pocket. Gloves and jacket temperature can be controlled separately. I bought mine at Bob's BMW and they are currently running a 20% off sale any item. |

I rode with Gerbings jacket and gloves, I'm still anti-winter riding. Bicycles I'll do down into the high 20s with boots and such, but passively riding a motorcycle, no thanks.

That Trail 125 looks like a lot of fun. I had a Monkey 125 which uses the same engine and really enjoyed it. I have definitely become sold on smaller bikes. I just picked up this KLX300 last weekend. It's a 2021 that only has 164 miles on it. Middle aged Dad had bought it but was afraid to ride it. It will fit nicely in the van when we go camping.

I heard about this study on the BBC last night.
I wonder if the same holds true for bicycling-related activities (e.g. RAGBRAI - although that isn't as big as stuff like like Sturgis) https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...tm_term=112822 Quote:

There have been a few but the Beta 500 RR-S was one of my favorites.

No idea how the 916 wasn't #1 on that list. But again, I'm probably a bit biased.
