50 degrees in February is a sign of good things to come, as is the first ride on a frame like this one:

More (better) photos to come!

Nice Crumpton! Hope it lives up to the concerns you had over duplicating the geometry/handling of your Yamaguchi.

Thanks!

The first ride was short and cold (and involved more hiking through snow than a typical ride), but very encouraging. The weight difference is profound--we often split hairs about grams, but this build is easily six pounds lighter than the bike I'm coming from. Profound difference. I didn't have the chance to push it down one of the canyon descents today--too much ice. That said, the stiffness is certainly there when motoring up a climb.

Can't wait to get to know it better.

I got lots of nice Volcano Shots form everyday rides here in the higher viability times of the year.

But this I caught out of the corner of my eye and did a U turn grabbing for my phone/cam.

Very very cool metal gate I thought. Eyes even lit up green and red...

Riverfront property I wish I could afford to live anywhere near.

Yeah, I’m very well aware of how lucky I am to live right off the trail. If you can get out there on a weekday, which is when I’m usually riding, it’s still pretty deserted and you can ride a non-stop, high pace, car free metric surrounded by some amazing scenery.
