Picked up a fat bike to keep riding in the winter. It has been a fun new experience.

Mid-December and the leaves are finally changing and there's enough chill in the air to feel like late September or early October in the Northeast.

Century ride Saturday
Ride Description
Come ride and join in Celebrating Mark Perkins' 10th Anniversary Century Ride!! YES--this will be the 120th consecutive month in which Mark has ridden at least one century!!! There were nine of us who accompanied Mark in completing a century ride on Saturday. I don't know which is more impressive, Mark himself or his old faithful 16-yr-old Trek carbon bike that was present in every century he had done and endured all the abuse and punishment. They were made for each other, I guess. The weather was perfect: low to mid 70s and not too windy. We had to get off our bikes and did a bit of cyclocross to get across a bridge that is under construction. Thanks to the friendly Hispanic workers who let us through or else we would have to make a detour. Looking forward to some easy pedaling gravel riding at Rosebud TX today. Wei San

The skies stopped crying for a few hours in Portland, so I got to go demo ride the Duetti...
It's nice, but I'm not in love with the ETap hydro and overall fit/ride of it enough to make it my travel bike. I have a problem with road disc bikes too - with the short stays my heels hit the frame.....the curse of size 15 feet.. It's not a problem with gravel bikes that have longer stays, especially if they're thinner in the back likey Ellis. Plus w GRX I get a bit more q-factor to space my feet out further. Anyway, more parts headed to the classifieds soon. Merry Xmas . Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
