She has set the bar to an all time high for angry soccer mom.

(The speed at which this report was created is really impressive. Normally something like this hangs over a coaches head for a longer period of time waiting for the report. Just reinforces how frivolous the accusations were 30 years after the fact)

Henry is a showman

Viera, Otoh, is now available. And he has experience coaching in the U.S.

I’d like to see the job given to Viera.

International break begins after this weekend and we play Grenada in CONCACAF Nations League games on 3/24, yet we still do not have a coach. Not to mention we are hosting the WC in a couple years.

According to the US Soccer pres, they expect to hire one at the end of summer.

Seems bonkers to go 9 months without a coach. Especially in a position where you already have very little time to work with the players and figure out who fits into your system and who doesn't.

The USMNT is a very attractive proposition for a coach. Young improving team. Tons of potential. Lots of upside with little of the baggage of a football-crazed country (like a constant spotlight on every decision). They should attract a higher pedigree caliber coach than Henry or Vieira (no offense to either, but they do not have tons of experience or an extensive resume).

I suspect US Soccer is waiting for the end of European season & see who is available.

First half - ugh - couldn't tell the teams apart - so bad.

2nd half -finally - tell me again why Pepe isn't starting - same goes for de la Torre
It's a girl!!

McKennie & Pulisic were SO off. Reyna impressed.

Finally cracked the code in the second half to work the outside channels as the middle was so congested. Also the mid block was not working. Go with a quicker, more high pressing eleven & viola!

I don't get the fascination with playing in Orlando. The lads coming from Europe clearly struggled due to the heat & humidity, so why play there????

I'm ashamed to say the match completely escaped me, even though I was vaguely aware of the international break.

And now we might apparently have a veritable line-leading CF, a type of player we have never really had on the MNT.

Balogun, who scored a goal every 150 minutes or so in the French Ligue 1 this year, commits to the U.S.

I'm optimistic but BUT A) Ligue 1 has a history of goal scorers there not doing it as well elsewhere. B) it has been one season C) CONCACAF referees will let other teams kick the Sh*te out of him.

If he doesn't at least get a goal in everyone of his 1st 3 games for the USMNT people will sya either he wasn't that good or it's the coach's fault ( whomever that may be). Tempered expectations may be a good idea here.

I do support Arsenal as well so I hope he is GREAT for both.

F***

and McKennie is gone due to some royal shytehousery. Unfortunate, as there’s only Musah left in that MMA midfield against Canada…

But then again, true to its name LLL Tri concedes another goal. One goal for each “L”.

ETA. Oh f***, Dest gone too?

Outplayed AGAIN - outclassed AGAIN. El losers showing just how bush league they have become once again. Montas just a pathetic display. Probably part of the reason his club was relegated.

Dest is kinda a loss. Weston more so, though his play for Leeds was inconsistent.

El Tri fans once again prove that they are the worst. Kudos to the ref for ending the match early. I hope FIFA throws the book at them & forces them to play in empty stadiums at home for the entire cycle.
