Yesterday's ride: 46miles/4100' of climbing up Larch Mtn in Oregon.

Weather was beautiful at the start...

The end of the climb...time for the cold descent...

Was the same when we rode Larch on Memorial Day... perfect cycling weather until about halfway up Larch road, then it was pea-soup to the summit - and COLD. I had to bum arm warmers off a bro for the descent, and it was still miserably cold.

You should, it's better than the pics. Maybe I should organize a tour for the forum.

Frozen link shut down my first big climb of the day... had to descend and try to find oil... lo and behold, by the time I got back down it seems to have cured itself. But I bailed on my original plan and cut into the hills to the west/closer to home, and I'm glad I did - first real hot day of the year, I simply could not stay hydrated. I drank 4 bidons on a 2.5 hour ride and still finished the ride cramped up and dehydrated as hell

Was hot as fuh...

Received our new club kits a couple days ago and today was our first chance to use them on our Saturday club ride. Big crowd today, probably 130-150 riders. We average at least 100-115 riders every Saturday.

I got a chance to visit North Carolina for the first time. What a beautiful State. Went riding in DuPont State Forest with some locals.

70 miles with the wife in the northern Shenandoah valley of Virginia. The Shenandoah Valley Heritage Ride which benefits the local boys and girls club. Rollers all day. The worst was about 1/3 mile at 14% average, a few were steeper but shorter. Good weather but windy toward the end. Flatted with only about 5 miles done. CO2 cartridges are really sweet and the rest of the ride went well. The building is Belle Grove Plantation, very near one of the big Civil War battles.
