Spent the weekend riding the Alps of Texas, Leakey and Vanderpool area. Lots of good climbing and no Austin traffic.

From today's spin on my wonderful old De Rosa. Short little climbing ride around the area I live in. 24.5 miles with 1881 ft of climbing and lots of stopping to take pictures.

Rode the Indian Peaks Traverse (IPT) from Rollinsville up and over Rollins Pass to Winter Park and back again the next day.

Tough ride with some amazing views and great singletrack diversions coming down the mountain on the Winter Park side. Broken Thumb and Twisted Ankle trails were a lot of fun even being pretty gassed and sore after a long day.

4 1/2 hours of straight climbing and 2 hours descending the first day and 3 1/2 hours of straight climbing and 2 hours descending the second. One close call with a Bull Moose.

My Moots Rogue YBB 2x with Ti Jones Loops was the right tool for ride.

Picture is from the second day on the way down. To gassed to take pics on the way up the first day. The top of the Rollins Pass is not far from the top of the ridge in the pic.
