I would even take a 924 over a Cybertruck … I can't think of a more damning statement.

This raises an interesting question - given a situation where my daily driver has to be either a Cybertruck or XYZ vehicle, how bad would XYZ have to be for me to chose the CT?

Hmm, maybe this?

Model Y Juniper is the one to wait for. I am only keeping my CT reservation in case of any potential discount.

Obviously everyone in the CT design team who mentioned a line that was not straight got fired on the spot

I have to say, that while I think that Tesla's Cybertruck is supremely ugly, probably not very utile as an actual pickup truck, and that Elon Musk is certifiably wackadoodle, I don't think that it's fair to make a blanket assumption that all Cybertruck drivers are:

Recently divorced
Wants to signal to women that he has money
Is really sensitive
Wears cargo shorts
A Wall Street type
Has a Punisher sticker
etc.

Exactly. Many statements made here are ridiculous and borderline offensive generalizations if they substituted a racial or gender component to the comments. I didn’t buy my Tesla as a fashion statement or a statement of any kind. While imperfect, it’s been a superbly reliable vehicle that has been very inexpensive to own and operate.

If people don’t want a CT I suggest they don’t get one. They’re not ruining the world and if folks want to have a reality check, they should consider the millions of full size ICE pickup trucks that get sold every year in the US. They’re about the same size as a CT.

I’m not a truck guy so the CT isn’t for me. And even if I were a truck guy the CT wouldn’t be for me. But I’m not the going to shout at clouds because they exist.

I agree with all of this.. my only issue with the CT is it just doesn't seem that useful as a truck.. pretty sure I could do almost as many "truck things" with an old Subaru Baja.. that and the fact that, as far as I know, Foundation owners are STILL waiting on light bars, autonomous driving updates, and some other things (like wheel covers and a gas pedal that doesn't have to have a rivet).. THAT is just ridiculous IMHO.. I also think there is a certain type of person who buys many of the CTs (and other "special" vehicles like a Bronco Raptor, etc).. these folks are either influencers, gotta have it first folks, or folks who want to make a statement.. and that's fine, if you've got the $$$ and want to do that for sure.. finally, trucks have, for many years now, been a fashion accessory for folks that never use them for "truck things".. similar to an older couple I saw the other day driving around in one of the long Suburbans.. they looked to be grandparent age and didn't seen to have any kids.. to each their own, but certainly not the original intended use of a Suburban.. although maybe it was based on the name..

drive what you drive for sure, just don't be a jackass about it!

Sometimes that's the whole point.

That part ^^^^ can't be true.

If it is, I can think of several other strongmen / dictators who are going to also want one...
