My wife and I did 40 miles on the Skyline Drive (Shenandoah National Park) in Virginia today. Constantly up or down - 2 to 4 miles up then 2 to 4 miles down, repeat, repeat, etc. Nothing real steep, but all climbs are long. If you want to do back to back challenging centuries, start on the Drive in Front Royal and ride the full 105 miles down to Waynesboro. Stay overnight in a hotel in Waynesboro, then ride back up the Drive the next day. The pics with panoramic views are from the overlooks on the Drive. There are plenty of them. If you are 62 or over, for $10 you get a lifetime pass. Can't beat that.
