The amazing thing is how cheap the Japanese 4wd SUVs are in Japan now.
They are still priced like the yen is 100/$ when it is now closer to 150. The land cruiser 1958 in the US is probably about $55,000 dollars. In Japan, the model is Land Cruiser '70' and it is 4.6mm yen or $30,666. The new TOTL Mitsubishi Delica's are also 4.6mm yen . Although I am partial to the Suzuki Jimny Sierra at around $12k |

Just saw one again this morning in NYC- went from not seeing any till last week and today.
Two kids were playing or watching some sort of Tesla brand game (angry birds) on the big screen. Definitely saw the gaps on the panels in the front. (yikes) The guy driving was *not* wearing cargo shorts- he looked like a Wall Street quant type. I know enough Wall Street math guys to spot them a mile away…. Anyways- My dream car is still a Toyota with zero electronics in it for the day the mega EMP happens that the world seems headed for.

Too lazy/indifferent to look up the numbers, but all I see in the SF Bay area now are Rivians, like everywhere. Even my neighbor (who parked his Cybertruch in the street) got rid of it and now there’s a Rivian SUV there instead. I’m pretty sure it is equally, ridiculously giant, but even in its weird shade of blue it doesn’t punch you in the eyes the cyber truck does.

I was just clicking around and found this. Pretty sure you would not want to race a Cyber Truck.

Tongue firmly in cheek. That Mitsu is still cute, though.

Me too. I would take almost any Porsche over a Cyber Truck.

I'd take almost ANY car over a Cybertruck (unless I was going to sell the CT and buy something else), but we know this already.. EVs are quick off the line, no doubt.. but throw in some curves and I'll take a Miata over most other cars every time.. just something about driving a "slow car" fast.. I would like to drive some of the sportier EVs though (like the Taycan).. my father in law has an EV6 and it's pretty good, but I'd still take the Miata..

No- lol. Definitely no MAGA vibes.
Just an overweight south Asian man and his kids- my wife and I saw him again- and he was gracious enough to let the doorman in his building take pictures of himself inside of it. It definitely caused a stir on 1st Ave: so many people stopped to look at it…. Which may be appealing on its own. It’s ugly sitting still- it looks a little better in motion… and the bed/back really looks long to me. I wonder with car prices at a high whether or not Toyota will start to import some of its cheaper/less complex cars. They make some cool cars for their own market that never make it state side.
