I second the idea of not trying to design a do-it-ALL bike. Optimize for the 90% scenario.
That's a True North Cycles from Belwood, Ontario. I've also got a 29+ (gallery in the Custom Bikes section) by him. Great bikes, underrated for sure.

I had Hugh retro-fit it with the couplers hastily before I moved to Europe so new decals never made their way onto the frame but I'll be back in Canada in a couple of weeks so I'll pick some up while I'm there.

Thanks. Elwoods have been great. They roll really well on pavement and have good grip on the hardpack gravel I typically ride on. I keep the pressure at 40psi and it seems to be about right on for me.

I had them front and rear, but had to switch out the rear due to clearance issues.

Yes it is. It’s the first Firefly to sport an Oliver lefty—right after building mine, they built an all ti one for Jamie, and I’ve seen a couple have been built since.

I've been on a lot of gravel roads but have never hit Byram Lake road. We are lucky to have so many options to choose from in Westchester as well as up in Putnam county. Enjoy, George
