I did! Thank you! I also found a slightly used 7-11 cap made by Kucharik; that may be the one!

I decided to treat myself to a new drivetrain after being on the same one for well over ten years on two different frames. I went from a 3x Shimano XTR system to a 1x Shimano XTR system...finally. Luckily, I ordered parts back in December and they finally trickled in the end of March through to the second week of April. After the LBS built it up, I finally picked it up yesterday just in time for my birthday. 🙂
I haven’t taken it for a ride yet because the weather was dodgy today, but I am hoping to next weekend. Here’s hoping my front ring choice was the correct decision....

Excuse the flipped stem and spacers. I put a 760mm Ti bar on the end of last season - going from a 550mm bar, it really changed my upper body position and I am trying to find something comfortable before I think about buying a shorter stem.

Crust had a couple XLs left from pre-Covid shutdown so I decided to give one a try. Reach is on the low end for me, but should be fine for this type of bike.

It's a bit of a gamble I guess, as previously mentioned the reach is a bit on the short side and I'm a solid 10# (20# all suited up) over the max weight rec of 220#, but having had so many framesets that were, and felt, overbuilt I'm excited to try something on the other end of the spectrum. Plus after a year plus riding my AR rando I'm 100% comfortable with low trail.

only because I listened to the weight limit warning on that frame I don't have one right now, it was 200lbs, now magically is 220lbs.

I just bought a rawland stag, similar tubing to the crust, I am over 220 and the bike is not a noodle under me. Its very lively though and I really really really enjoy it. Would I call it a noodle compared to my road bike that is aluminum and with a carbon fork? sure but as an overall package it is fantastic, I am really loving the skinny tube bike feel. I already knew all about low trail which is a love it or hate it ordeal (I always loved it on my elephant) but skinny tube/low trail is a different thing altogether. The only time I wished for more stiffness was on sandy gravel climb and I did wish for more stiffness in the fork but hey, can't have it all.
