Quick and easy spin to get some coffee, taking it easy while nursing a foot sprain. I'm gonna love this bike.

Phat

More fat biking.
Roads have lethal amounts of black ice and there isn't enough snow to XC ski.
Perfect Pugsley conditions now that the trails re-froze after the rainstorm.

And yes you better lift your tush over those frost heaves!

An hour and a half or so yesterday, mostly on gravel. We got passed by one car on one of the most untraveled roads in the township, pictured below.

Raining all day today, so no ride. But rode the previous three days, a hour or two here and there, better than nuthin'. Seize the opportunity!

The rain came down so hard and furious the night before for just a couple of hours. Didn't realize how bad it was until I hit the trails earlier today and bumped into a section that was completely submerged in water. Never encountered that before in all the years. Can't imagine what it's like in other parts of the city, must have been tough. Saw a couple of mountain bikers went ahead but I can tell their shoes were soaked. Decided to turn around, took a different route, drop by Costco for a hotdog instead.

Was out riding by myself on Saturday, it was cold and windy and overcast, kinda depressing ..until I bumped into an old friend Dennis that I played badminton with 20+ years ago, what do you know! I remembered Dennis as skinny, fit, agile, playful, skillful, crafty in the courts. He's super fast on the bike, and climbs like a mountain goat. He's semi-retired and repairs carbon bikes now for a living. His friend Fabio visiting from Columbia.

Last ride of the year

took advantage of a beautiful day outside to do one final ride for the year before the weather turns ugly again...

This year has been hard on folks living close to the river with a lot of flooding, can see the damage left behind on this low water bridge crossing.
