riding through dc early in the morning is always amazing. rode past centuries of history on quiet city streets. pedaled alongside rivers on winding trails, illuminating the retinas of deer with my headlamp. saw local rowing teams getting their eights into the water. and reached my favorite mural toward ride's end a few minutes after sun up.

we're lucky we get to do this stuff.

Saturday on the Ahearne, Sunday on the Lynskey.

Hurricane ridge in November?

I have never been up to Hurricane ridge this late in the season. It was a balmy 39 deg at the top, oh note the Paceline cap.

Tomorrow's forecast calls for sleet and freezing rain. I took advantage of a partly sunny afternoon and got a 35 mile ride in.
