I have gone to plan B using an Acorn Tall bag and have a VO steerer mounted decaleur on order so I think this will let me get that stuff behind me. I'm going to put on a 12cm stem and I think that will be the last adjustment on it for a while. For me the V2 is a conflicting set of design changes. My frame is a 65 but that measurement goes to the top of the seat tube extension, so it really is about a 60 center of the bb spindle to top of the top tube. The top tube is 61 center to center. The standover at 33 3/4" is not all that generous. The V2 has gotten taller in that it now is a real 65 center to top 4cm more of head tube. So far so good. But the standover is now 34.7" which is a bit too close for comfort! So I would have to go down to the 61 with it's 59cm top tube putting me in 140 range for a stem, not quite what you want with short trail... Shorter folks with different proportions may have entirely different experiences! My 2cents... Last edited by guido; 05-04-2015 at 02:29 PM.

All prairie riding for me lately. 42 miles NW of IA City with tandemrider on Tuesday; we rode some pavement, some path, some gravel, some water hazard - thanks Chris! Pics are from yesterday's 91 mile ride from home. I had a cut that blew out a Vittoria tubular not much over 10 miles into the ride. Glue was virtually all dried out but the spare stayed on and made it home. Late start resulted in riding the last 35 after sundown, and the last 25 by moonlight. Cows are happy that's it's finally warmed up and the grass is growing. That's a public road straight ahead along the the tree line in pic 3. Farmers were out planting corn, scrambling to get it in before the rainy week ahead. The 1851 cemetery predates most of the towns in the county.

Once a year they close some of the roads around here to auto traffic and turn them over the the cyclists. They call it The Great Scott Ride. Kind of post-apocalyptic out there, but still very cool.
