I got thinking about my old mavic zxelliums, which had such a beautifully ventilated and slipper like upper. For first time I was coming back with soaking feet but in northeast it was just the heat/humidity we have had this summer. if it is dry and hot, then i suppose we can take all the help we can get.

I really like the Rapha knit shoes. I only use the “gravel” aka MTB version but they have a road version. Should even be on sale right now. As for wide toe box I can’t say they’re marketed as such but I almost exclusively wear wide tide box normal footwear and find the Rapha cycling shoes a comfortable choice. With free shipping and returns could be worth trying them on.
