I've searched for years to find a 7-Eleven Merckx and purchased one from someone on the forum. Has mostly vintage parts (not necessarily period correct) and even found matching crankbolt dust covers and bar plugs. The bike is fun to ride and always enjoyed downtube shifters (a bit like driving a manual shift car).

I may get a custom build steel bike (Hampton, Kirk, Ellis, etc) with bosses for downtube shifters and wider tires (up to 32mm). Funny that the older bike parts may be more readily available then the latest tech due to the supply chain issues.

Serotta Atlanta with mixed Campy Record and tubeless Stans A340s

This was an early covid project I put together. Around 18.6lbs and a bit more stiff than I thought it would be. I've never owned a campy equipped bike and enjoyed getting this together.

Might even ride this one today after work now that I'm looking at it .

I guess this is a keeper! Needs pedals. And time to ride it.

My 91 Merlin team bike that took me from Cat 4 to Cat 2. It’s had DA 7400,7700 and now 9000.
I’m thinking of taking it back to how I originally built it.

This also describes my Rivendell Rambouillet too.

Right down to skewer choice and color. ;-) (Tune AC14?)
Correct but it only had borrowed them from the Pego to look pretty for the pictures.

80's Ironman with Campagnolo 10 speed:

Unknown age Concorde built up with mostly modern 10 speed gear:

90's Argal with Ultegra 11 speed, (sneaking in some alloy )

1987 Schwinn Circuit with 11 speed Campagnolo Athena groupset:

Early 90's De Rosa with Chorus 11 speed:

Beautiful Paletti built up with a mint Chorus 9 speed set:

90s Giordana with Campagnolo Record/S.R. 11 speed and tubulars:

Another Giordana with Campagnolo 11 Speed Athena setup:
