Suggestions for good Allroad bike from boutique brands

You listed Allied Echo, which is about as expensive as most custom options.

Maybe starting from the fundamentals, what's your target budget, and do you have a preference for frame material?

well, I'd say give Fairlight from the UK a look then..

I'm also looking at "Allroad" bikes at this point as well as my feeling is a bike that can fit a 40mm tire will do most of what I would want as it pertains to off-pavement stuff..

for me, I'm looking at the Argon 18 Krypton, the new Giant Defy, new Domane, etc.. what I've found is when you get to looking at AllRoad bikes, you need to determine what you are looking for as far as handling as there seems to be a bit of fine line between AllRoad that is more like the prior endurance bikes (steeper HT) and the "fast" gravel bikes (slacker HT, but steeper than a bikepacking rig).. I would think there is probably a handful of gravel race bikes that might fit your parameters as well?

you can get a very nice custom frameset at/under $3k in steel.. you might check out Wilde Bikes to see what they got.. they have both stock and custom options..

Check out Zukas cycles, he may be able to build you a steel frame custom for about that, and his frames are damned gorgeous.

Horse cycles is another semi-custom and I've lusted after their frames since seeing one at a show.

Second Fairlight, they are VERY nice bikes and have a vast array of sizing that allows for a semi-custom size, and as a bonus could come in quite a bit below 3K.

I’ve had two Standert road frames and like them a lot. Whatever flavor of their offerings fits your bill would be cool. Check though as some are made in Italy and some in Taiwan.

Stinner is teasing a MUSA affordable offering right now. I’m following it but probably not in the market.

I think the new Parlee Ouray looks pretty interesting if you are not put off by the very compact geometry (which has the benefit of giving back-friendly stack and reach figures with good standover). I have two Parlees, and I don't know their secret sauce but they both ride very, very well even with a 31.6 mm seatpost.

thanks all. the Fairlight is a good recommendation for what I was looking for.

I also found two others that I'm strongly considering.

1. Massacan - Italian brand - was featured on Radavist recently
2. Mash All road.

When I hear that price point, de salvo seems like a nice custom option. $2000 for a steel frame, $2625 with an enve fork and wolf tooth headset.

That a ritchey or a fairlight seem like they’d all be near the top of my list if this were my budget. $3600 for a non custom Seven frameset is over budget but also seems nice.
