Frameset link is here.
I've been crooning on and on that they need to make a DSW crux so I can have my threaded BB, di2 routing, clearance for 47's and alloy construction. Texted the local shop GM for pricing even though I need another dirt bike like an extra hole in the head. Both colorways are neat as well. |

If you're talking about gravel in general, you can get a Diverge E5 for $1300. |

I know but I meant “on sale.” Spesh has been in a habit of discounting lately.

I've always been a bit leery of a full-carbon frame riding over gravel. Like, what about rock strikes and similar? I rode my titanium bike over chunky gravel and all I could hear was "ping, ping" as rocks bounced off the downtube. Seems like aluminum is the way to go here.
Also, I like that you can build this up with a mechanical drivetrain. I only have the opportunity to ride gravel very infrequently. I don't want to have to worry about charging batteries or whatever. Grab-and-go, that's what we need here. |

This is such a nice looking bike. I always find it funny when ad-copy shows a frame and fork for sale, but the image is edited so the steerer tube isnt there. How would a stem attach?!?!?

I've been tempted to replace it with one of these new models and this Aluminum one looks awful tempting |

The price point of this sounds great to me for what it is, they have wild and basic white color options, the compatibility and clearances are great, the weight is very good for aluminum, and they're offering a frame only. I've had substantive problems with things Specialized has done, but they've proven that they can execute product really well. This thing looks great and it would probably be my #1 if I was in the market right now. |

Great move by Specialized, I would buy it if it were a bit more affordable.

I pre-ordered the white+gold. If this is as good as the Chisel, we won't be disappointed!
