However, could you explain how “sprocket sequence for 12 speed, starting with a 12” has any relation to cassettes that start at 11? I’m confused. I rode a route pretty similar tp your regular route today. As the sweeper, I was going back a lot to pick up a newer guy on a 46/30 and 11-28 10-speed. He said it was his first road bike. He was losing contact on both the hills and the flats. I recommended he get a 10-36 10-speed cassette and he said he’d try it. Now, if I can convince him to drop the wheel reflectors and fork disc, and fix his fit. He bought his bike (used) from a bike shop, and they basically sold him a gravel bike, and a bit of a bill of goods, IMO. |

@RobbieTunes. Try reading my post that includes a quote requesting a 12 speed cassette that starts with a 12 or 13T sprocket. It really makes no sense. Both SRAM and Shimano have cassettes that go with their chain ring offerings and meet the needs of most riders.
There's no rule that says you have to use the small sprockets if you don't need them. If you ride flat lands, get a 10-26 or 10-28 SRAM cassette and use it as a 12-26 or 12-28 10 speed or 11-30 Shimano cassette and use as a 12-30 11 speed. I recently switched from a 48/31 crank back to 46/30 because the 48/10 saw so little use. I use the 46/10 a lot more on moderately sloped, but long descents. I can spin it up to 42 mph and then coast on the steeper sections. I can start using the 46/10 in the low 30's. I use Shimano cranks for more range and better shifting with SRAM 12 speed. |

Did these cassettes ever appear anywhere? I never was able to find any for sale, anywhere. Talking about the 12-speed, 11-36 cassette. Thanks.

They seem to have appeared in the UK:
https://www.westbrookcycles.co.uk/sh...xoCU0AQAvD_BwE https://www.condorcycles.com/product...675_bbf6f8c0c9 Sunrace also have an 11-36 12sp, with an hg freehub fairly widely available. |

12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-24-28-32-36T With a 46t chainring, the 15 to 17t jump is a 13%. |

But then when you went down Tring hill on the F11/10 you could easily spin out a 53/11 with articulated lorries going mad when they realised they were struggling to overtake you ... an absolutely mad course. |

This. I use the 11 on my DA 11x34 here and there but I’d much rather have the 16. 12x34 or 12x36 would be perfect.

I know this is an old thread but….had anyone used an 11-36 cassette from shimano or SRAM yet on Campagnolo Chorus or Record 12 shifters and derailleur?
