Tell-tale sign eliminates

It seems there's "white" on top in rear light.

Unfortunately while it's an interesting exercise, without a plate number or a clear photo of the driver, unlikely anything will come of it.

I'm sorry to hear this happened to the OP and his mates. Senseless stupidity.

What kind of camera grabbed this photo? Your answer will save me from buying one.

I was riding shirtless many years ago and got hit in the shoulder with an egg as a car went the opposite way. I was surprised at how cut up and bloody my shoulder was from a simple egg (& shell).

Someone through a charger base at me as they passed in their car earlier this year. It hurt quite a bit. Less of a welt than the op’s friend.

It also made me bitter and those misanthropic feelings that I try not to entertain. It’s a reminder of the vulnerability of cycling on the road. Or driving to some degree.

True but the center white seems much higher.

Rear License plate is in the wrong location for it to be an Acura CL

Cop shows I watch would lead me to believe they can get a list of car owners and the ping cellphones of owners/family members to see who was on that road at that time.
I’m guessing TV probably skips some real-life hurdles to get such info.

If the cops don’t visit, let’s hope some form of karma does
as a teen, riding my bike on Shelter Island NY a woman on the back of a motorcycle raise her shirt up at me.
at the time, i was just glad...

... glad the driver didn't hit a pot hole and send her flying, cuz she used both hands

and thanks for dredging up that lost memory

I think it could be a mid-aughts (around 2005) Mercedes CLK. I had a 2005 C-Class and those wheels caught my attention right away.
