because I really like the Ala Carte and would like to repurpose one as a gravel bike if it makes sense.. I mean if I picked up a frame (or whole bike) for cheap, might be fun?

I mean, why do we do anything with a bike older than 5 yrs (arbitrary number), unless it's for the fun of it?

I guess that is my point. If you try and convert it to 700c is it still an A la Carte?

good point.. it was probably mostly a mental exercise anyway..
