Based on what I've listened to and read, the acknowledged upper limit of Zone 2 training is when your lactate level reaches somewhere around 2 mmol/liter. As one fatigues, power output (and heart rate) needs to be reduced in order to stay under lactate threshold 1 (LT1).

I just watched this whole podcast, and what a decent human Pogacar is — I don’t think you can fake that for an hour. Great stuff.

Attia, in contrast, hmmm… imo something seems clearly off with him and the way he interacted with Pogacar.

I'd bet there’s a back story to this guy (Attia, that is), and I'd bet it ain’t pretty. I’ll take my medical advice from experts who don’t set my hair on end.
