back-story is my 11 year old son rather 'stole' the one set of rather new(ish) aero wheels for his racing bike. (to be fair, I gave them to him). Personally, I'd rather put gear money into equipment he needs vs my own, but I'm intrigued by the idea of lower pressure/wider tires for racing, so I figured I could breathe a little more life into the bike the 'stolen' wheels were intended for with a cheap set of aero wheels. I'm thinking I'd be happy with something like 19mm inner width/25ish outer? I've been looking for a used set of later style aero wheels vs new X-brand, but I guess as long as the consensus is *not* that they'll put your eye out, X is okay with me.
I've got a set of CSC wheels, which seem to be using the same rims as Superteam but laced to Novatec hubs. I'm at ~5000km on them with no problems. Weight is as claimed (~1600 for 50mm profile), braking is ok with SwissStop Black Prince pads. The wheels are not the stiffest and I'll have the shop check the spoke tension but for ~$320 shipped I can't complain.

I had these about 5 years ago. 38 deep I believe. I had no issues. Consider them entry level wheels. Or look at PL classifieds every couple of hours like some of us do, and snag something better.

Or just post a WTB to keep propagating the paceline circle of parts!
