There is a recent GCN episode on this, but to summarize, the high pressures you are running may be contributing to the premature tire wear you are seeing. I would suggest looking up suggested pressures using a modern calculator like the Silca one, and see how your tire wears.

4000-ish Km and being worn out is fine in my books for a tyre you can race on.

I run GP5000's because I like to go as fast as possible for the minimal effort and won't lie, I've seen delamination like pictured, but my thought following was "geez I pushed that tyre a bit far, got lucky to not flat".

Can't vouch for their tires but I don't think calling it a delamination is fair as the tread layer is fully worn through.

I've had delamination with a Specialized mtb tire. The tread separated from the casing and it looked like a bubble on a wood fired pizza crust.

No ine can say how long a tire should last before being worn out. It, (like chain life) depends on weight, rider power and terrain.

Thankfully they (and their brands) mostly suck anyway.

And IBM’s another one I avoid. AEG…. Siemens…. there’s a few.

The good news is that there are high quality alternatives all around. I’m not anti German by any stretch. For tires, Schwalbe as an example was founded in the 70’s.

I’m conscious about where my money goes in general.

I don’t know everything about every company or country, but as things come to attention I act according to my values and beliefs.

Fair enough.
I rarely refuse to buy from a company based on what they did or didn't do 5
30 years ago, 50 years ago, 80 years ago, or 150 years ago. Same goes for countries/history- it's just too messy for me to research companiesand countries that do or don't have a spotless record in human right, Civil rights, etc.
With that said, yeah I do like or dislike some companies for how I perceive them in the present. But I recognize even that is very inconsistent of me.

oh hell, all tires suck at some point. 2600 miles is good. that tire is shot, lucky you got that much out of it. this past weekend i just had a 6+ month old fancy pants vittoria corsa cotton tire go full black tread warp and sidewall delamination/bulge while on a tandem going downhill at mid 40's mph. thankfully didn't blow out/go flat. so, that sucked. luckily was just a handful of miles to home and an easy pedal 10 mph max trip back. aka an "active recovery" ride home.

don't even get me started on veloflex masters. they should rename them veloflex stockholm syndrome.

I remember the sidewall issues back atound 2010. I rode Vittorias for a while after that, but found Vittoria's are bit like swiss cheese for me.

Went back to 5k and while these are better in my opinion, but I've still had issues. Decided even when I am fast, I am not that fast, so went to 4Season for more durability. I have been pretty happy.

Rode Vittoria Corsa in Las Vegas last fall which was the wrong tire, and a flat magnet with the thorns from plants.

I don't think there is a perfect fast tire. I may try pirelli

Like the 5000 700C X 25mm and use them since they came out. Did get one tire that was bad right out of the box and defects happen. I still have 6 new 5000’s in my spare room and will ride them until worn out.
