Great combo of frameset, groupset, and wheelset - plus the Moots stem/post.
The only (and superficial) similarity between Goodwill and TPC is that both sells duds, which, upon closer inspection, is problematic for one but not the other.

Otherwise, I don’t think Goodwill, whose intent is to provide basic necessities at a cost affordable to the indigent, should be mentioned in the same vein as a company looking to offload substandard goods at whatever price the market is willing to bear.

My Dad had one and used to say how much he loved it and how much other people loved them. I thought it felt horrible when I rode it. I think it's just "confirmation bias" talking

That's fair - I'll append to "garage sale".. or used car lot.

That's just another description of free market capitalism.

I'm only offended by high prices if it is an example of price gouging, usary or profiteering, but a used Colnago bicycle doesn't fit into any of those categories. If someone isn't interested in paying that price for it, they can just walk away with no harm to anyone.

it's like riding around with a black eye. Your eyes are just drawn to the defect.

Oddly enough, it just happens to be my size....

When I look at their site I see a ton of outdated, overpriced, beat up inventory - and it does irk me that undoubtedly some people new to the sport are getting duped...... and that is really unfortunate. That may just be how capitalism works, but I'm not obligated to like it.

I've ridden one, and it was pretty good on chip seal and rough roads, add in that you can likely fit 30s and maybe 32s on it and you have a great rough road bike.

No it's not just you. They shouldn't even be selling that bike.

Curious why people seem genuinely offended at prices for things they aren't going to buy.
If I want it, or need it, and I can afford it, I'll buy it. I recently paid $700CDN for a Super Record 11 Speed 11-29 cassette. Stupid expensive, but there are none out there, and from the looks of it, no more will ever be made.

On that bike, no, I would not pay that. There are better deals to be had. They have a lot of nice looking bikes though, and I almost bought from them about a month ago.

This is how N+1 and many other more serious problems start.
