Can anyone comment on long term experience with running Campagnolo 12 speed with longer housing?

Or, are there any sources for longer Campagnolo Maximum smoothness Shift housing?

If you have a local dealer, they should be able to source Max Smoothness housing by the foot from Campagnolo NA.

I think it should be fine.

I have bought this:

By the meter - it is $11.

They appear to be sold out at the moment, but I've had good luck with these folks: https://nonstopciclismo.com/collections/cables-housing

Got Campy 12 Disc.
Campy doesn't supply enough of the ridiculously expensive Max Smoothness housing to do full internal cable runs.
Plus, no caliper mounting bolts.
I mean, COME ON

It's Campy. Love it or go Shimano.

I'm about to do a similar build on a Psychlo X disc...but without internal runs <whew>

That having been said...how do I figure out what caliper bolts I'll need?

I just ran down to my local bike shop and purchased 7 feet of maximum smoothness outer cable. Easy Peasy.

In general, your frame manufacturer can tell you. Otherwise - here is a dirty little secret- they are just bolts...

It's 'out there' but Jagwire will work great also.

I don't know if there is something special about the Campy mechanicals, but I also have found that the upper tier Jagwire stuff works really well on Shimano road and SRAM MTB systems, it's pretty much all I use. I really like their polished cables, though it sounds as though the campy shifters require a proprietary cable (?)

I faced this question about what length bolts to use on a couple of flat mount frames, and I don't get why the frames themselves don't come with the bolts. The threaded length that goes into the calipers must be pretty standard, so the overall bolt length is frame-specific, not groupset-specific.

The same is true of thru axles BTW. I bought a new frame and it didn't come with a thru axle. Since there's no standard, it takes a bit of research to find the proper thru axle too.

I guess I could use the bolts from the existing groupset, but they're Shimano calipers, and probably Shimano bolts. So, well, you know. Campagnolo is life.

Yeah, Campy probably uses a proprietary thread that starts off right hand but turns into left hand Whitworth
