Black'n'White....piece'o'cake! It's gonna get DA 9100, which is counter to my thinking of NEVER putting DA on an Italian frame...screw it.

I just built a Torelli with 7800. God it’s good. If I ever find the Mondonico I’m hunting, it will also get Dura Ace. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Build it how you want it.

Here’s my cycling-related purchase today. Cat approved.

Got some generic tubeless tape from ebay. Kaption? Crapton? Dunno. Whatever was mentioned in the other thread.

Less than $10 shipped

Now to see if I wasted that $$ or if it truly is the right stuff

New Cervelo T4 track frame, national, age group, Hour Record, challenge bike if Covid ever slows down. Also purchased a Cervelo P5 front end for it, just moving it across the closed border currently.

Hour record for your age / nation group is serious stuff. That tool looks serious enough for the intended job at hand. Best of luck.

Did you perhaps allrdy have that record at some point? I remember someone on here posting getting that record for usa in an age group but cant remember who or what age.

I may have gotten the last parts for me next build. Maybe theres a small item im missing or something (usually is). Think im going with silver stem and post. been a while since i had a bike with some silver bits. Group will still be campy 11 carbon tho.

Needed some prepwork getting the post up to a better finish and the matte titanium saddle rails to show up a little more shiny to better fit the post.

It feels a bit sacrilegious to put Shimano rings on a Quarq power meter on Sram Arms... but I've still got a bit of weight weenie in me....

Talked to Frank the Welder yesterday

Getting the same bike he built me last time except sliding TA disc dropouts so I can turn the bike without sliding dropouts into a proper road bike

Some big, flat BMX pedals for my commuter, so my girlfriend can ride it - eventually I'll get her on spds, but not today!

Your most recent cycling related purchase

Upgraded the Salsa Warbird TI a bit this winter with COVID quarantine.

Been riding it as built for about 2 weeks now and man its a lot of fun, loving the 48/32 cranks paired with an 11-28 rear... pretty much never need to leave the big ring unless its a decent hill... otherwise i just spin along.

Upgraded this winter.

Bontrager Aeolus 3 TLR wheelset (from the forum), setup with latex tubes and Corsa Control 28s, added the DT Swiss RWS skewers and Dura Ace Rotors to these

Swapped to a new Centaur Long Cage rear der, new shifters and grabbed a new CX70 top pull FD, new chain, new cassette, swapped all the cables. Thing shifts amazing with the full rebuild.

Added Paul Klampers, Campy Pull brakes, replaced some TRPs and the Klampers are great.

Lastly, picked up a setback Eriksen seatpost and trying an Ergon SR3 Ti saddle.

A few of these items were passed along through the Forum, so thanks all for the assistance.

Only thing I'm thinking of changing is a blacked out stem to replace the Ritchey Carbon stem

I have to admit, it took me a while to figure that one out. So it does have a chain or rod (my guess is rod - less expensive, less prone to failure, easier to repair) to drive the rear wheel from the huge pedals/platform. Great for kids, or those who are still kids inside.

I've never been a skateboarder, but they're pretty cool, too.

I was a little kid when dinosaurs were just starting to appear on the earth. We had metal roller skates with a key (sorta like toe clips), and rode them like crazy on the concrete floor in the basement. It was lots of fun to barrel up to a post, grab it, whip around, and fly off in another direction. Helmet? What helmet?

Thousands of years later inline skates appeared. Oh my!

I had a bicycle very much like this as a kid. Banana seat, whatever those handlebars are called, and... three speed! Hoot nah! I think mine had coaster brakes, although AMF Renegade sounds vaguely familiar. I had some sort of purple iridescent seat.

Sadly, I never saved enough money to buy the tall sissy bar in back.

It was also good for turning upside down on the grass and feeding grass clippings into the fenders after I mowed the lawn. The grass clippings would shoot out the back. Too cool for school!

Placed an order for a Colnago C64. Trying to get the last design that came out under Ernesto ownership.

Unfortunately that means selling a lot of accumulated retro parts such as Rene Herse crankset, bottom brackets, quill stems, alloy bars, and seat collar that looked great on retro steel bikes.
