Hah yeah it's an S3/Life mix. When I say commuter it's more about how few miles I'm riding these days

Gotta ask what stem this is? Looks awesome.

Probably built by Speedvagen, or at least commissioned by them custom. Note that the stem includes the top cap for the headset, which I've never seen from a mass-market option.

Looks sort of a like a Tomii. Tomii makes so pretty fancy top caps along with his stems.

It’s currently a few parts shy of perfection, but it’s as close to it as I’ve come to date with rim brakes.

So many great bikes with rim brakes, such a waste to push them aside.

Really curious what you'd change

For real. Is it just that the poster wants to add a custom stem cap and bar end plugs, and that is whats missing?
I guess a black seatpost would make it fully black for components and parts- and that would look better...but honestly I didnt even look at the seatpost the first time I saw the bike. My eye is definitely drawn to the frame.

Metal cages, zero setback post and stem to match the post. I'm still contemplating whether to do black (to sort of match the carbon and wheels) or silver. I'll also swap out the pedals to ones without a power meter once another project is built.

I'll match the stem and post and swap out the carbon cages for metal ones. Basically, it's silly little things that can wait indefinitely.

Fair enough. Honestly, I noticed the perfect carpet of grass without a blade out of place before I noticed the seatpost. Little things are little, but they also make things complete.
