All these tools are droolworthy but Dough Hook wins all. This is where this thread is laid to rest.

Mystery project completed. Works well and complements my manual Hozan thread roller.

I keep a couple of patches cut into eight quarter-patches, which work well on thorn holes and more. |

To what do you anchor yourself while operating that? Or are you working with very small batches?

Small batches... roughly 500g flour.

New Italian dies. I love pulling the plastic coating off these things.

Such a simple yet often used item in the toolbox. Sadly I've been looking for the red safety tips for mine for years, just not complete without those......the search goes on!

Yes, and if you get the General Tools 380A one, it also works perfectly to pick up nipples for wheel building. It really holds the nipple well and allows to get the first few turns on to the spoke. |

Is that one of those ebay nipple sorters? Or did you print it?
Thanks for pointing out you can use a scribe for nipple insertion. I only build wheels occasionally, but I was thinking about buying something to do that |

Printed my own. Finally an excuse to get a printer which I’ve been eyeballing for a while. I also wanted an “inner box” for it that I can put inside the shuffler to flip the whole thing upside down. So far I always dipped the spoke tips into oil but didn’t like how messy this was. Now I can put a tiny drop of oil in the bottom of the nipples while they are in the shuffler. No more oil on the rim, I know, OCD Last edited by Gsinill; 11-26-2020 at 10:11 AM. |
