New old stock OEM cross bars with Rockymounts bike trays. You would think they were made for each other. I usually ride from my front door, but I’m tempted to leave the rack on.

Wow thats such a nice Benz.. and those WHEELS!! Making me nostalgic. My grandpa had a similar era/body style '87 300TD turbo diesel station wagon. That car was tank. He had it most of my life and eventually had to let it go a few years back due to rotted out shock towers. Still was the most reliable car in the family!

I think everyone should experience at least one late-80s to early-90s Porsche or Mercedes in their life. Stuttgart was hitting home runs in that era. Pro tip: the budget 190e and 944 are both fantastic drivers despite the budget reputation.

New decals for my Seven. I can’t believe I parted with $55 for decals, but I hate the way they look when they get cracked/worn. At least they provide two sets in case I screw up the application.

We make frequent trips to Bayern to visit my wife's family.

We got tired of renting for long periods when visiting. When my wife's brother offered his 1981 200d wagon, we picked it up and drove for a few summers. It had over 331,000 kilometers on it when we moved it along. It was replaced by a 1983 300 TD wagon that ran great until we couldn't re-certify it in Bayern.

If they ever let us back into Europe, her uncle has a nice 3 series wagon sitting there for us.

The Mercedes is a 1990 190e 2.6. Right hand drive Japanese market car. I wanted a euro car for the simple dash, cloth interior, and headlights. Japan got the same spec so I jumped on it.

It’s fairly stock and low kilometers. Summer cruiser for the family (see car seat in back)
Aftermarket radio (but Japanese market cars were shipped without radio and dealers added one)
Fifteen52 wheels
H&R lowering springs

The stock springs and wheels are safely stored in my shed and the car could be returned to OEM in a few hours.

Am deployed in the middle east, but luckily am at a location where I can ride a bike-have most of this stuff at home, but as the family relocated from Anchorage to Vegas, everything is still in boxes......so I’ve had to go to Excel a bunch, they deliver every time!
