My Lighthouse (bought from adamhell who had it built in 2011) is near perfection. Filet brazed Columbus spirit with enve 1.0 fork, now with Record 11 and white bar tape.

Yeah that was me too before ordering the spooky actually... then I finally bit the bullet and got a low cause i had to fulfill that curiosity.

I *think* I prefer the low as I rode it mostly the last couple seasons. It's more compliant (although could be a function of the wheelsets on either but I'm clenching on the spooky when I see horrible pavement), quite responsive under power (tough to say how much more, if any, but didnt feel any less peppy than the spooky), and I like how it handles much better (it feels very similar to my Izalco Max).

and uh yeah, please post pics of your Havocstaff!!

I saw the 15 year age window in the original post and am glad my 8 year old bike is still kicking. This photo is from back when I built it up in 2015. These days it's in full commuter mode (lights, frame pump, compact crank, etc.). I recently had to replace my derailleur and was worried I couldn't find an 11-speed mechanical derailleur; I might need to stock up for next time.
