Well for the past couple of days it's been two new (old) old albums I bought sealed.

The first is Grace Slicks Dreams LP. Damn does this one grow on you. I must have played it continuously this morning for at least 3 hours.

I've also been on a Suzanne Vega kick again. Bought a 1985 version of her debut album and it too is such a lovely sound LP. Did back to back comparisons last night of it vs my 1985 CD version and the LP is so much richer. Then today I installed my first ever new turntable, a Thorens 1500, and JIMINY CRICKETS is this new turntable freaking amazing!

Today has been all about Depeche Mode. They've been on constant play all day and make me question some things. I've got various albums on SACD, Vinyl and on CD. They all sound amazing in Stereo no matter what media. The SACD's in 5.1 kick the fun up a notch but I'm not sure I'd call them superior. I've got Black Celebration playing right now on the Thorens. It's a NOS 2016 release I just opened and sounds amazing with no processing by my receiver.

You're the Inspiration by Chicago
For Whom the Bell Tolls by Metallica

Three hour ride today. At least 1 hour cumulatively spent whistling either one of those.

If you like 80's music, check out the new album from Nation of Language, "Strange Disciple". Sounds great on a stereo.

Jackson Browne. Classic song, a duo with the great David Lindley.

Jackson Browne. The same classic song, another live duo, this time with Billy Strings. Not the best audio, but you get the idea. Generations, torches, passing...

Inexplicably I woke up at 4:00AM this morning with Frank Sinatra's "Something Stupid" playing on endless loop in my head.

No idea how that happened; I don't recall hearing that tune any time in the past ~55 years!
