I love Clown Core, both as a concept and for their actual execution...but tbh I don't think I'd find it more than just a novelty if I wasn't aware who the guys behind the masks are.

Drummer/producer/mastermind Louis Cole is a serious force to be reckoned with in contemporary music, and I don't think I'm going out on a limb to suggest that he has single-handedly revolutionized how to approach the acoustic drumkit in the post-drum machine/post-Hip Hop era. He's got mad skillz (aka, great chops/musicianship) that quite literally could not and would not have existed ~3 decades ago. And yet his groove is as nasty & stanky as the best of Old Skool funk.

Ive yet to give their disco a full listen. Descriptions from my boss are interesting and esoteric. We played him the pizza party song as a pre celebration for his birthday, that was my first full. So yeah, interesting but i cant really be a judge yet

For a couple of clowns, they're a mess. I don't think the drummer is all that good, just different, Neal Peart was a real drummer, the best by far ever over anyone in history, you want to listen to a drummer then listen to Peart, and he'll take you to school! Maybe when they stop clowning around they might be able to do some good music? Just my opinion on those clowns.

Someone gave me a U-Turn LP player for Christmas...so it gets a little crazy as of late. The acquisition of vinyl has become sorta strategic. I have mine mapped out out

I picked up Purple Rain, Face Value (Phil Collins) and Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness on vinyl (among others). So that's what I sorta have on the brain, musically

For those of you with a mere soundbar or a bluetooth speaker(s)...consider yourself counseled on the benefits of a solid 2 channel system with a set or 3 of decent passive speakers Don't forget the wormhole of DACs, power sources, cables and so on. It will keep you occupied. You might even end up with another tape deck and a jukebox style CD changer. It happens in the blink of an eye

For the record, I have a KR-6030 amp and some JBLs (LX22), but that has become really flexible. I won't admit to anything else, that stuff is under the table and cash only
