I've had two stints of living in RI and I was living there when that went down. I knew two people that died in that fire. Horrible event that happened there over a stupid act and IMO inspectors that were either incompetent or looking the other way if you know what I mean. I remember the news reading off the list of people who died and when I heard one name that I knew, I expected to hear the other person's name as well. Driving by that spot was always eerie. A vacant lot with a lot of makeshift shrines and momentoes. W. |

Sometimes you stumble across a song you've never heard before, by a musician you're at least somewhat familiar with, and it strikes you.

By coincidence saw her on a list yesterday with Greg Lemond. The list was famous people mocked for their actions at the time and then later proved right. She was on for pointing out the pedophiles in the Catholic church problem and Greg was on for saying Armstrong was cheating. |

A couple of nights ago I was surfing YouTube and stumbled across this 1977 televised concert by Renaissance
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5B578LuXbPI ...and now I can't get "Can You Hear Me?" out of my head. Full disclosure: I was a big Renaissance fan when I was ~14-16 years old, saw them live at the Felt Forum in 1975, owned 3 or 4 of their albums...but I'm on the fence now about whether they were as good as their (very few) fans claimed, and still insist, they were. An acquired taste for sure. |

Hmmm, never heard of her so I just did a quick sample of her work. Most certainly worth some serious listening too. Thanks for sharing that!
