Yes, I've ordered the group. Ordered/have more than 1. The only places to order it was thru Campy directly. No one distributor wise had it. QBP has 10 kits on order but they just put their order in like Friday. The original Campy importer has 10 kits on the way. Should be about a week. They asked for 50 and were told only 10. Online retailers like CRC and others, they have a 30 day hold on selling it.

Who is the importer these days?

Wonder why 30 day hold on retailers selling it?

Seems they were conservative with the initial inventory or they are just drumming up demand...

The original Campy importer was Ochsner in Illinois. Now called Provision(still selling Campy). QBP, J&B, Hawley, GITA and Campy NA are all here now as well. Anyone shop or online wise- CO Cyclist, Excel, Pink, Vecchio's, Two Hubs, whoever, they all buy from one of the above. I get my stuff directly from Campy NA or ITA unless they are out for some reason

Online retailers, it was the same rule when the Shamal Carbon Disc, SR12, R12, C12, 12 EPS, Bora WTO wheels came out. It's just what Campy wanted to do. Give the actual brick and mortar stores a chance to sell it before the prices get slashed online. I personally like it. It does make things easier for us.

Very familiar with Ochsner and had forgotten about The Provision change of hands.

Nice move for initial sales but of course only 30 days doesn't really change the paradigm for online sales and discounts in the long run.

It's the world we live in and Wall St. finally killed the middleman...

I think it's wonderful they give retailers a headstart.

Back in my shop days, '84 - '93, I could buy Sh*tno-mo from Nashbar/Performance for less than wholesale. Customers didn't get it, I didn't get it and our Sh*tno-mo rep waffled. I even showed my best customer my catalog prices. He couldn't believe it. And this was as a guy who brought custom GT Xizangs, Psyclones from the pro shop, and was swimming in cash. He was so disgusted he let me build a Psyclone with the Mavic mountain group. That was a cool bike.

Aside from the GTs I got pro deals on I never spec'd Sh*tno-mo on any of my bikes. It was Campy, Mavic or Suntour. To this day I wouldn't ride the stuff.

Not 12 speed stuff. Only thing on their site is 11 speed/2015 and older.

I live in the Colorado front range, outside Denver. Most of my riding is road but either up up up or down. Very little need for the big ring coming down a mountain (for me). I’m not racing and I don’t need to go over 35mph. I might also like to do more gravel riding so this group could be perfect for a “do it all” frame weighted a little more to the road side of things than gravel but with maybe a second set of wheels for the gravel roads in the area. I don’t need mountain bike rugged for my riding. Always been a campy guy, and I like mechanical too. Already have enough electronics in my life, I like the simplicity of mechanical shifting.

I notice that Tom Pidcock is a Specialized rider, but has signed for Ineos for 2021 and Ineos ride Pinarellos. How will that work?

It sure looks good, but the gear ratios seem "off" to me. With the 38T and I presume the 9-42 cassette, you gain a 9, 11, and 13 over my 10-42 11 speed sram, 25 vs 24, sram has a 28, then 30 vs 32. I spend more time looking for the lower stuff than high gears. Help me understand? LOVE the way the freehub works N3W, very cool..

Just wait a month or two. Wolf Tooth and others will come out with different chainrings or even cassettes. It's the same BCD as the Chorus, so it'll handle a 34th chainring. I bet you'll see odd sized ones as well.
