Before you ride a dogma I would ride a TCR. Better built and cheaper. Would you rather ride a bike that's been made in a table tennis racket factory or a bike built by skilled workers while the manufacture having years and years of rider feedback? it might surprise you that the former is Pinarello and the later is Giant.

I would rather ride the better handling, faster bike.

Better handling? Faster? Have you measured them before?

I'm pretty sure Giant makes all of their own bikes, along with building bikes for a number of other bike companies.

Nothing wrong with a TCR - I've ridden one, and they handle well in my size. I've steered away from them though because the top-level TCR SL comes with a PF BB and an ISP, plus an oversized steerer diameter. Not that those aren't manageable, they've just dissuaded me in the past. And besides, this isn't about a rational A vs. B - it is about desiring the experience of riding a certain grand-tour winning frameset.. I can start a separate thread at some point about an irrational desire to ride Tom Dumoulin's TCR SL from that Giro victory (almost bought a replica at one point, actually).

As for the construction - I imagine both factories are more than competent at producing top-tier frames.
