I'm dave, I'm a framebuilder. Actually started before Ben, here.
Still ride a fair amount for my 60 years. Hit 69MPH in CO. on Molas pass near Durango. My favorite bike is going to have to be one of my own builds. My current Columbus Spirit (shaped) is a nice all rounder. No nicknames, but I'll answer to various things, if you know what I mean. I'm a Vietnam vet. I'm married for over 20 years, no kids, only Rottweilers. I'm a past shop owner .
I make my living still from bicycles and restoring and repairing 50's, 60's and 70's foreign sports cars and anything else that piques my interest.I have a blog and a gallery. Just Google Porter Custom Bikes and you'll know more about me than I can remember at any one time. Hope to meet some of you in San Diego in April.

Figured if I'm going to spend a bit more time over here I might as well formally introduce myself. Some will likely recognize the username from a much larger cycling forum elsewhere on the web.

* real name: Jon Fischer
* where do you live? Allen (N. Dallas) TX
* explanation of your handle: long story, old nickname that suck.
* age: few weeks shy of 30.

* favorite bike: Gazelle Champion Mondial (at least for the next 11mo.)
* what's in your stable? 2 Gazelle Champion Mondials (78 & 83), 86 Serotta Nova, 06 Fuji Team Issue WCS.
* fastest speed on a road bike? where? when?: Think I crested 42 on one of the only hills around capable of gathering up speed like that.
* make up and answer at least one additional question, "best time to ride?": First thing in the morning either mid fall or early spring when the winds are calm and just a hint of fog is over the fields.
* and, something fun: Just put down a deposit for my first custom frame. Now just have to find a way to survive the wait.

* real name: Kevin Rhea(pronounced "Ray"), however, I've been called "KRhea" since the forth grade
* where do you live? Bikecentric Portland Oregon
* explanation of your handle: see name
* explanation of your avatar: Saw the movie twice and didn't like it either time...couldn't understand it so I can't explain it...
* age (general or specific): 53
* occupation: Retired, former Director of Design/Director of Marketing in the technical athletic footwear industry, specialized in running/trail running footwear
* favorite bike: Sentimentally it's my custom steel Taylor I had built to honor the adoption of our daughter Ella from China. I had a custom stainless headtube badge designed and made with her name in Chinese symbols.
Ride wise it would be C40 or my CDA, different but I love them both
* what's in your stable? Lots of bikes and really to many to list here. Example, right now is the first time in a long time I've had less than about 25 or 30 bikes in the stable and I think I have between 20/25 right now.
* fastest speed on a road bike? where? when? 57mph, on our tandem in the Oregon Coast range about a year ago
* how many miles ON THE ROAD on a road bike last year? Just over 8k
* picture of yourself or your ride?
* What's your "home club": Portland Velo
* what is the biggest lie you've ever told: Not the biggest but certainly the most "consistent" lie I tell is, when asked on a hard training ride how my legs feel I always respond, "you know, they feel great"...
* and, something fun: The first time I hooked my daughter's Burley Piccolo to the back of my bike and we ventured into and onto the roads with nearly 30,000 other riders in the annual Portland Bridge pedal. Her eyes were so wide open, her smile was as big as her head and she yelled "faster daddy, faster" the entire 20miles. Priceless.
