I've been on a theme song bent recently, so when I'm not listening to an audiobook it is stuff like:

For some reason Herbie Hancock's "Butterfly" was stuck in my head all day yesterday...during my early morning bike ride, during my afternoon nap, and during 4th of July dinner with my parents.

I've been sitting here totally immersed in the new Porcupine Tree album. Surround sound version on the Blu-ray is just mind-blowingly good!
So worth the 13 year wait. |

Mitch King: "Coming Back"
Been stuck in my head for a day or two. Pretty impressive singing and playing the guitar, harmonica, and tamberine all at the same time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDUt778ovDk W. |

This got used in the Apple TV series, 'For All Mankind'--I had never heard it back in the day, (but we all know his hit "I can help")
Billy Swan covering Elvis's "Don't be Cruel" (1974)--this knocks me out: https://youtu.be/-STFyfsdoVA |

It's amazing how BB couldn't play a chord.to save his life, but could do everything else.

echo in the canyon
I've been lost in the 60s with Jakob Dylan and the great musicians he got together for this. Watching the documentary on the dvd I bought. Listening to the album straight through on apple music. It's just great.

It's the weekend, so time to crank it up.
I brought Big Jack up to play my wedding reception (I'm since divorced w/no explanation). To make a long story short, he burned the house down, as requested, and friends still mention that show once in a while. I brought him up again a few years later for a belated housewarming party. With Frank Frost and Sam Carr, they were the Jelly Roll Kings (kinda NSFW if you decrypt that; let your imagination go). Jack on guitar, Frank on harmonica, Sam on drums. They're all dead now. I never saw Frank, but I did see Sam and Jack several times. I had some good times with Jack at his house and elsewhere. This is a crank-'em-up song, so turn that dial. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gBKfdnmuNw
