I broke down and go these "Two wheel cool silicone toe cops". They are from Australia and shipping is $22, but they said they can fit in 3 sets in one box, so I got a buddy of mine to buy a set also which helps the sting of the shipping cost a little bit. Its still pretty cold weather here in Oregon, so I am using full shoe covers right now, but will be excited to use these once we get up into the 50's.
-Can wash in dishwasher -Wont soak up any water on a ride -Easy to clean -I like that they are see through (They have solid colors also), I have always hated how the traditional covers hide your shoes. Especially if you have cool funky colored shoes that you like to see. -Super durable Last edited by bianchi10; 01-19-2014 at 07:22 PM. |

what....What?
I hadn't seen them ever until Someone on my other forum posted them. Did a bit of research into them and they appear to be a pretty solid product. They are based out of Australia and mentioned to me they are working on getting US distribution. They supposedly do a great job keeping your toes warm from the wind, are easy to clean, Have a toe "bumper" to stop from ripping or tearing, are incredibly durable and I was drawn to them mainly because I have green shoes and never liked how my traditional toe covers, cover up half of my shoe. No idea how long they will take to get here, but its still really freaking cold, so I'll still be using full shoe covers for another month or two. Last edited by bianchi10; 01-19-2014 at 07:05 PM. |

So, those guys are to keep cycling shoes clean or to provide an aero benefit?

Its the same idea as traditional toe covers. Obviously, a thermal toe cover would give more warmth, I would imagine. But these are supposed to be just like your normal neoprene style toe cover.

Nope, nothing as of yet. They are working on it. Sucks because the shipping to get them here from Australia is $22! They told me that 3 sets can fit in a shipping box, so if you can get 2 others to buy in on it with you, it can make the shipping not so bad if you split it.

^ No those would be the glory days .
Its actually a dual-sport helmet, that bring together the better ventilated front of an MX helmet, and the good top venting and sealing of a road helmet. Its supposed to be more streamlined at higher speeds than an off-road helmet. I have a new Honda CRF250L being prepped. |

A little package from amazon came in today... nothing spectacular, just some reading material, tools and anti-vibration pads for the trainer.

I've been stocking up on Bondhus Briteguards as well. Have also picked up some shortie versions for the saddlebags. Good stuff!
