Have been offline for some months and just hearing about your crash Keith. So very sorry. It sounds like you've been on a long recovery road with more miles to go. Wishing you continual and complete recovery. Hang in there.

Glad to know you are still here and healing. Sounds like a horrific crash and I hope you regain enough to be comfortable. Sounds like you have a great support system in place.

I also want to wish a speedy recovery Keith. I've been off the forum for a bit, but reading your story is tough. Sending best wished your way and healthy days to come.

Hi Jeff and others,

Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I have been able to go back to work to some degree and able to do things around the house. But life is not like it was before and it is challenging and hard not to wish things were the same as they once were.

Unfortunately, I still don't have my field of vision on my right side. I saw a neuro-optometrist recently. He is good, but it was hard to hear the details of my vision issues and possibly permanent damage to the nerves that affect my vision. I certainly hope that it will repair, but the issue is pretty serious.

Other than my vision issues, my brain and memory aren't fully recovered. One of my struggles is remembering people's names and other details. In general, I can remember most things but not all the minor details. On top of all this, my wife had some skin cancer removed from her face. It is so difficult not be able to do the things I could previously, like as simple as being able to drive.

I am certainly thankful that I survived the bike crash and that I am able to do many things, but it's hard not having my life the way it used to be.

Thank you all for your positive comments and concern for me. It has really meant a lot to us.

Hope for continued recovery for you, it sounds like you are getting good care. My wife had a stroke a few years ago, her memory did improve but it took a long while, please stay positive as you can.
