Happy to do it. We already got notice from someone in Italy about it. But one of the US guys liked it on IG so we should be safe. We'll keep working on it this week and should have it out this week. The 1 lever is done, so is the front and rear derailleurs. Those just need polished a bit. So 1 lever blade and the arms left. And if you notice, the lever blade has a nicer polish than the original now.

They do look good debadged. And it's not like no one is going to know who it is. It's easy to figure out. But I get why Italy goes nutso over us doing this and the other things we've done in the past.

I get it. We require our dealers to adhere to brand guidelines. Some of the creativity that falls into a grey area area are pretty cool...

The funny thing is, and the argument that the US office constantly says is, We own it! We paid for it. So it's not like the Home Office has any say anymore. In this case, debadging, I get it. It's totally removing branding. But in the others, like polishing and panto or painting and leaving the badging, that's different. That makes it better. But Italy goes seriously nutso about this and I think I and Chris at CycloRetro have taken 99% of the flak from them. It is what it is in the end.

It probably depend on the distribution agreement. We have brand standards built into our distribution agreement so dealers are obligated to represent the brand in adherence to our guidelines. This covers logo use, font, colors, and secondary logo (dealer) placement as examples. Even if they own the product, they are expected to represent the brand appropriately. This obviously only covers authorized dealers. Not much we can do about used resellers or end use customers.
