Decided to see what the hype was all about and grabbed a set of GRX levers and an ENVE Gravel bar for my Firefly.

Most recent arrival. Numerous profane expressions of joy coincided with the unpackaging.

I bought a Bontrager brake cable setup, the $30 retail kind. It was pretty sweet

I assume you mean the JBs. They run true to size and weight.

So far I like them, although I did get a little front slide try to occur, which my old motocross reflexes auto adjusted for. Not sure if it was some light moss, or just leaning in too hard before I had it scrubbed off on the edges on pave.

JBs are on my Team Issue Leopard/Trek/RadioShk Domane truck/beast for crud plowing.

First ride down the MUTT here, some folks were taking up the entire paved portion, so I just popped off at speed onto the little doggy slimy hardpack track off the edge of the pave. Narry a wiggle @ 75 psi [I am 198 lb]

So there is the initial review I guess.

_____

A wrench in my works: Yesterday I was gifted a Panaracer made Jack Brown Green Label 33mm pair. [from someone here in fact] Too big for the Team Domane, but I may like how they feel better than the JBs. But then again less PSI and more expensive too VS JB. They got installed on the Crockett and blasted on for a few scant miles earlier on cracked old pavement happily.

Stay tuned.

BTW, AngryS, I am from NE/NJ as well [until 02]. Wondering if we know each other. Does BTCNJ mean anything to you?

Have been intrigued by those as well - especially for a gravel build with discs where they'll stay purty
