The Tomii looks to be perfectly balanced with its intended use, beautiful bike and excellent build.

Can't quite place those tires. Which ones are they and how do they ride?

Thanks! Tires are Jack Browns by Rivendell. They are 33's, and ride great. May try compass next time, but the Jack Browns are pretty cush.

As for thing on the seatpost, it's a Abus folding bike lock. 4lbs more on the bike, but 4lbs less on my back...

I've ridden both versions of the Jack Browns and both versions of several Compass sizes. JBs use a Panaracer 35mm casing as far as I can tell. I seem to recall it was even stamped into the tire somewhere. Install a pair of Bon Jovi Pass EL and you will forget Jack Brown ever existed. They are truly a cut above.

Just finished it up today, got about 30 minutes in on it before dark, and it is amazing! The fit is perfect, the ride is so smooth, and fast. And the first impressions on the etap lead me to believe that I won't be building with anything else for the foreseeable future. What a fun build and ride - and I finished right on time, with lots of rides on it planned in the next 10 days or so. I'll either update here, or in the etap impressions thread, although I suppose I should add a Custom Bike thread also.

The stem is temporary until I'm absolutely certain of the fit, then I'll put on a blacked out Enve. Very likely I'll also switch to a black post, but Eric built the custom ti post that was included with the frame, so it is on there now. And I didn't capture it very well, but there is ample clearance left with the 30s installed, could go larger.

Super cool. I really think this is a good lookimg bike. I am glad you are replacing the stem but would caution you on an Enve stem with a more classic looking. The enve stem tends to be a bit bone shaped which doesnt usually jive well with steel frames. I would consider a 3T ATX stem. Regardless, its gonna look cool.
