Circles Around the Sun

It's their own sound. To define it? Kind of an amalgamation of Widespread Panic and Steely Dan. Members are all accomplished and from other big bands.

a song i dreamed, actually.. had a kinda 60s rockabilly highkey sad vibe to it.. cant remember anything but the melody during the chorus and obviously no lyrics.. but its kind of a jam. wish i knew how to write music

Saw Evan Dando a few weeks ago and he played a cover of “Old Man Blank” by a band called The Bevis Frond (really just one guy) that I had somehow completely missed. Great guitar-driven psychedelic rock.

At work I'm generally listening to blues/blues rock, esp North Mississppi hill country blues and it's variants. Lately though I've been going more punk/surf punk/rock just to change it up a little bit. Fu Manchu, Social Distortion, Jim Carroll Band, etc... Hard driving music for work, laid back jazz, rock, classical, etc.. for home.

Not the most uplifting song but it's got a hook and drive that is stuck in my head...
