A good day so far.
A short 2 hour hike, ramping up again for my backpacking trip up the northeast coast of Scotland and further up into the Orkney Islands, which has been cancelled 4 or 5 years in a row for various reasons. Bike ride tomorrow. Put the finishing touches on the winter garden. Looking good. Making a paprika potatos recipe for the first time. Smells good. While that's baking I pulled out the vintage Frampton Comes Alive album. Well, OK, now it's a CD. Looks like he still sometimes covers Jumpin' Jack Flash, just as he did on the original album. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Shx0sewnIUc Later it's a telecon about transfering Venerable Mom in a "memory care" place. Ugh.

I heard CCR's "Lodi" on Sirius XM 60s channel and, for some reason, I kept "singing" the lyrics in my head during yesterday's ride. It took some time to get my brain off the song. I mean, I like the song but that was weird.

The Del Fuegos, Nervous and Shakey. Garage rock.
I saw them in the late 80s, maybe early 90s. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aeqiVubfK_8

I've been streaming WXPN from Philly
They are doing 2021 best all time albums as selected by listeners They play one song from each album until they reach the top 50 and then they'll play 4 songs from each album The last 10 or so, they play the full album It's fun to listen to you never know what's next I think they are in the 600's right now |

The Irish band Clannad is always soothing and exciting my ears. They have quite an extensive history since the 70's. Enya's sister sings the lead vocals beautifully and her brother and uncles make up the rest of the band.
They've had quite a few guests on their songs too like this one with the unmistakable Steve Perry. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxUh...annel=loulalee Or how about Bono: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ty2V...el=ClannadVEVO As well as doing all the music for the 80's BBC series, Robin of Sherwood. Each Robin Hood character has their own song and such. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Worg...el=ClannadVEVO And everyone probably knows this one from Last of the Mohicans. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CI7...nel=0000MATINA |
