Buddy had the day off on Friday and wanted to ride and I somewhat reluctantly agreed to go along, as long as we worked on some of the county roads that I had yet to ride. Not much for scenery on our route but we rode for three hours and I finished off another township - except for 1 mile which I overlooked when mapping the route. Most of the paved roads were super smooth, the gravel smooth and fast except for 3 or 4 miles that were rough (evidently from windmill construction traffic) or had standing water in spots. Toughest going were the sod roads, as they were soft and/or had lots of tractor tire tracks. I wore 5 layers on top, 2 on bottom. Got a bit hot on one stretch of rough road going into the wind but overall was glad for the layers. The pic of rider on grass is a public road.

finally, FINALLY able to ride some trails around here. It felt like this day would never come when we got a bunch of snow in March but here we are.

There's a weird little A-line on the trail where you go into a sharp, tight 90 degree left turn immediately into a short drop. Last time I tried to ride it I didn't get my front wheel far enough around and ended up sailing off the trail to the right and crashing. Today I rode it no problem!

Willow City Loop, Texss

Famous for its beautiful landscape, wildflowers, hors category climb out of the valley. Sharing the roads with other sight seeing folks, would be selfish to have it all to yourself.
