So I've gone down the Daryl's House rabbit hole...and that's not a bad thing. The O'Jays were never really on my radar, I've heard some of there songs but I was more into other avenues of music. I'm really glad I watched this because it gives me a whole another level of appreciation for their music. I'm just finding it fun and refreshing watching different groups of people just having fun, sharing, and growing with each other. If I'm tapping my feet and bobbing my head to the music...I'm having fun to.

Love Train
Backstabbers
I Love Music
For The Love Of Money
Use Ta Be My Girl
I Want To Know You For A Long Time
I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)

If you have a little under an hour to watch and listen give it a go, I bet most of you will enjoy it.

Oh, and back to the subject: What's stuck in my head right now..."bop bop bop WHAT THAY DO!"

Nirvana’s live performance at the Paramount in 1991 is just incredible. So much power and energy in that show!

Kurt Elling, helluva jazz vocalist.

For a mind-warp, fast forward to 37 min. or so....he (and/or others) re-did Earth Wind & Fire's "After the Love is Gone." Amazing stuff.

And here's a duet with Lee Rittenour, singing Nick Drake's "River Man." So. Damned. Good.

Theme from Shaft.

There used to be an HD version of this on youtube, but not anymore. Sadly, both Isaac and Skip, who made the wahwah famous on both the original version and this live version at Glastonbury, are now dead.

Toward the end, Skip just takes off, embellishing even the original.

It's nice to see the young kids in the audience diggin' it.

Martha & the Muffins. Can't remember a thing about them, other than they existed. I guess I liked at least one of their songs.

I looked 'em up. Apparently Echo Beach was their hit. Now I remember it. The '80s weren't great, but they weren't all bad. They seem to have been a one hit wonder, though.

Don't remember Motor Bikin'.

Like.

Reminds me of Mdou Moctar, more known for his electric guitar, but acoustic here to start.
