None More Black

Based on the records posted in this thread, I'm starting to believe Spinal Tap was a real band.

Same here. I co-own a bootleg version of the Black Album, i saw "sign of the times" and "lovesexy"live, and i got the tickets to prove it Michael made very good pop music; Prince was a magician.

What a great collection of album covers, but I think there's room to add this one.

You're missing one of the best album covers of the 80s

Maybe the all time worst record cover. If they had half a brain the cover would be simply a mirror but no.. they add the title and then someone thought their audience needed to see a pair of eyes to understand the concept.

Question I have with all this, now, is: Are we talking about 'Classic Album' covers, or 'Classic' album covers?

Second picture down- I spy "Spirit of Eden" by Talk Talk. Beautiful cover art by James Marsh and one of oddest but most influential (and sublime) albums of the 80's. Mark Hollis- the lead singer and main writer- died earlier this year. A very sad day indeed.

Another one of the first albums that I bought as a kid - Asia.

One of the coolest album covers from one of my all time favorite singers - Marvin Gaye...
