My guess is that they came up with the name as a sort of mashup between the actor Steven Seagal and the 80s band Flock of Seagulls.

Side note - I saw Flock of Seagulls open for the B52s. Now THAT, was a crazy show.

I stopped in to say hi to the physical therapist that took care of both of my shoulders. He always had good tunes playing and we discussed how much we both missed live music. Maybe soon. I told my wife when it does come around people can color us gone. It'll be music time.

Saw them multiple times in San Diego.

I never saw the Beat Farmers, but I did see Mojo Nixon. And it was at the 930, if I recall correctly.
